Rosatom Signs Three Agreements with Belarusian Partners at Forum TIBO-2023

As many as three significant agreements between the State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM and Belarusian partners were signed on April 19, 2023 in Minsk, within the framework of the forum TIBO-2023. They concern implementation of joint projects in the field of digital modeling, cooperation in the field of telecommunication equipment and solutions of Smart City.

The first signed cooperation agreement between the sector-specific center of competences in the field of digital modeling and simulator construction – the Engineering and Technology Center GET JSC (is part of Rusatom Service – a division of the State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM) and organizations of the system of the Ministry of Energy Industry of Belarus – State Production Enterprise Belenergo and Belenergoremnaladka, JSC, stipulates implementation of physical large-scale simulator complexes and promotion of the technology “digital twins” at the energy facilities of the Ministry of Energy Industry. Besides, the partnership envisages training, skills improvement of operating and attending staff of process shops of electric power plants and implementation of the best practices in the field of operation of energy equipment.

During the ceremony of signing the agreement, Victor Karankevich, Minister for energy industry noted, “Our country has accumulated certain experience in this sphere; we have respective developments. We are interested in studying the opportunities of the organizations of the State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM in this area. I believe our cooperation will be mutually beneficial.”

The second document which was signed by Rusatom Smart Utilities and Giprosvyaz, JSC contemplates joint developments in the area of Smart City. Based on the ambitious plans as to digitalization of the country, unique competences of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies of the Republic of Belarus, as well as vast expert knowledge of Rusatom Smart Utilities, which has already been implementing various projects in more than 100 Russian cities, the cooperation will develop in the sphere of digitalization of public administration, municipal environment, housing and public utilities, and transport infrastructure. The parties are ready to implement the digital solutions that allow to achieve economic efficiency, increase the level of interaction of dwellers and management of cities, improve quality and reliability of resource supply. For example, according to ROSATOM specialists’ estimations, the application of the product Digital Water Utilities alone allows to reduce losses in networks, electricity costs and improve labor productivity significantly.

Besides, Russian manufacturer of telecommunication equipment for building corporate data transmission networks T-COM (the enterprise of TVEL Fuel Company of ROSATOM) and PROMSVYAZ JSC entered into the agreement on strategic cooperation in joint projects in the field of telecommunication equipment. The partnership will allow to exchange information, participate in elaboration, tests of new samples and technologies using parties’ positive experience in manufacturing telecommunication equipment and implementation of the best practices in the field of operation of data transmission networks. The important factor of the collaborative interaction will be strengthening of the companies’ positions on the markets of Russia and the Republic of Belarus.           

Emphasizing the importance of this partnership, which arose within the framework of the International Forum TIBO-2023, Stanislav Levitsky, Director of the country office of the State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM in Belarus said, “The International Forum TIBO-2023 has become a place for development of a large number of Belarusian-Russian projects. ROSATOM is ready to offer Belarusian partners high-technology digital solutions aimed both to enhance efficiency of all sectors of national economy, and to improve quality of life of each citizen of the Republic.”
