ROSATOM and RusHydro Agree to Cooperate

Within the framework of the XIII International Forum ATOMEXPO-2024, held in Sochi, Rusatom Smart Utilities (is part of the State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM) has signed a cooperation agreement with RusHydro.

The signed document is aimed at development of the technological potential of the companies, exchange of experience and expansion of high-potential areas of activities, including in the energy sector of the Far Eastern Federal District.

The agreement is continuation of joint initiatives declared by the State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM and RusHydro at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in 2017. Since then, the partners have been developing interaction actively: the design institutes of the RusHydro Group participated in designing of hydraulic engineering structures, systems of technical water supply and water treatment for ROSATOM’s facilities being constructed and designed; active cooperation with ROSATOM’s subsidiaries was performed in the sphere of application of composite materials; pilot projects in the field of external reinforcing systems at three HPPs of the RusHydro Group (Ezminskaya and Zhigulevskaya  HPPs, Zagorskaya PSHPP) were implemented.

ROSATOM and RusHydro have many-year experience in cooperation not only in the sphere of technologies, but also in the area of personnel development. The specialists of the scientific research and construction units of RusHydro annually take part in the World Construction Championship, the founders of which are the RF Ministry of Construction and State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM, as well as in other projects.
